Journal Jar Prompt Number 006

Now here we go with another post - the second one in a series of what will be 14. In the previous post I talked a little about how one of my simple pleasures in life is nature itself... the flowers and the animals, the sky and the ground. I'm back to talk about one of my other simple pleasures and here we go with simple pleasure #2.

Simple Pleasure #2: Photography. I love to take pictures. Whether they be of nature, people, places or even small things that other people may never have noticed before, I love capturing that little moment in time - it feels to me that I'm showcasing something that otherwise might have easily been forgotten. Special memories of something someone once said, a crazy outfit that someone decided defiantly matched, a moment that officially changed your life for the better! A photo is, simply put, a part of a lifetime of memories; a single second in this long time period that we call life. With the age of digital photography here, it makes it cheap, simple, and easy to snap that perfect shot - and if you mess up, quite frankly, it doesn't matter!! Who really cares what you do to get that shot? If you have to sneak up on that sleeping kid or the little boy climbing a tree, it's 100% worth the work to get the shot... plus, being so quick and all, there is instant gratification, which I love!
